Q: How do I access Campus Time & Attendance (CTA) for monthly employees?

A: 1.  From the myUAB Portal, in the myApps section, click the Manage Apps link and search the app store for Campus Time & Attendance. Click Add to add to your myApps list.

     2.  Login with your BlazerID and strong password


Q: How should I handle future dated time off requests I am not ready to approve?

A:  Action must be taken on all future dated time off requests, which can be marked as “Pending” if a manager is not ready to approve them.

 

Q: How should I handle a time off request that is showing submitted during the current month?

A: Action must be taken before the end of the current month to either Approve, Refuse or Cancel the time off request.

 

Q: What should I do if my employee needs to enter a time off request for a day that is in a closed month? 

A: Ask the employee to email you their time off request, including the justification for the late submission, the request dates and hours per day. If you approve the request, route the request for approval to your Dean/VP. Once the Dean/VP approves the request, route it to Human Resources and Payroll Leadership for final approval.  Upon Central Leadership approval, Central HR will enter the time off request on the employee’s behalf.

 

Q:  What is the minimum amount my employees can enter for Sick, Vacation or Personal Holiday accruals?

A:   Employees can submit a time off request for a minimum of 4 hours.

 

Q:  If my employee is on FMLA, what is the minimum amount they can enter for FMLA Sick, FMLA Vacation or FMLA Personal Holiday accruals?

A: If on FMLA, employees can enter the smallest incremental taking amount necessary to cover the time away for FMLA.
