Frequently asked questions about the UAB Manager Self Service responsibility in Oracle.



Why am I not seeing all my direct reports in UAB Manager Self Service?  

UAB Manager Self Service is driven by the Supervisor field in Oracle as of the date viewed (effective date).  Incorrect or out of date information in the employee record will be reflected in UAB Manager Self Service.  Please contact the HR org admin or HR generalist in your school/unit to review the missing employee’s data in ACT Data Inquiry to determine if changes need to be made.   Supervisor changes are not visible in UAB Manager Self Service until the effective date of the ACT document.


How do I get access to the UAB Manager Self Service responsibility?

UAB Manager Self Service is automatically added to a user’s list of responsibilities when they are added to an employee’s record as supervisor.   If you do not see UAB Manager Self Service listed, this indicates that there are no employee records listing you as supervisor or the ACT document designating you as supervisor has a future effective date.


Why do I still see an employee that no longer reports to me?  

UAB Manager Self Service is driven by the Supervisor field in Oracle as of the date viewed (effective date).  Incorrect or out of date information in the employee record will be reflected in UAB Manager Self Service. Please contact the HR org admin or HR generalist in your school/unit to correct the employee's supervisor via an ACT Document. 


Why is my personal information not included in UAB Manager Self Service?

Each employee has access to their own personal information in the UAB Self Service Applications responsibility.
