Maintaining Workflow Approvers

Workflow Officers (WFO) use the Utilities form to maintain their organizational units' end-user workflow setup. There are four main tasks the WFO can take described below in more detail.

Copy Workflow

The Copy Workflow feature overwrites the existing destination workflow setup with a copy of a source workflow setup.

  1. Choose the existing workflow Organization and Document Type combination to copy:

  2. Choose the destination workflow Organization and Document Type combination. Multiple destination orgs can be added using the Add Row icon Screenshot of Add Row.

  3. Confirm your request by clicking OK in the dialog box. Changes cannot be reversed or cancelled once confirmed.

Replace Approver

The Replace Approver feature overwrites the existing BlazerID of an approver with another user across the selected Organization and Document Type combination.


You cannot Delete the only Approver for an organization/document type; you must Replace the Approver.


  1. Enter the required search criteria into the WAM Query Form.
  2. Click Search to return the list of active Approval Levels the user is in.
  3. Enter the Replacement Approver's Blazer ID or Find a User.

  4. Click Apply to All to update the existing records.

  5. Click Replace Approver to apply changes.

  6. Confirm your changes in the dialogue boxes.
  7. Verify results using the WAM Approval Path Details By Org Report.


Delete Approver

The Delete Approver feature completely removes the existing user record from the selected Organization and Document Type workflow.


You cannot Delete the only Approver for an organization/document type; you must Replace the Approver.


  1. Enter the required search criteria into the WAM Query Form.
  2. Search to return the list of active Approval Levels the user is in.
  3. Click Delete Approver to apply changes.

  4. Confirm your changes in the dialogue boxes.
  5. Verify results using the WAM Approval Path Details By Org Report.


Add Approver

The Add Approver feature inserts a user record into the selected Organization and Document Type workflow.


  1. Enter the required search criteria into the WAM Query Form.
  2. Click Search to return the list of active Organization and Document Type workflows.
  3. Complete the New Approver Details.

  4. Apply to All for the Approver Details will populate in the results.

  5. Click Add Approver to apply your changes.

  6. Confirm your changes in the dialogue boxes.
  7. Verify results using the WAM Approval Path Details By Org Report.
