How to Create/Edit an eLAS Approver or Agent Submitter

eLAS Approvers are responsible for approving/rejecting employee time-off requests. Approvers are connected to employees through the use of eLAS Groups.  Each organization's Default Group is automatically created by the system.  All other Groups must be created prior to assigning Approvers and Agent Submitters.  The steps below require eLAS Organization Administrator rights.

Creating an eLAS Approver

eLAS Approvers are created in the Workflow Approver Maintenance (WAM) application and assigned within eLAS.

In WAM:

Set up the employee as an eLAS approver for the desired org in WAM. The employee will be available as an approver in eLAS after WAM has completed overnight processing. This step must be completed by the WAM primary or secondary workflow officer.

In eLAS:

Each org has a Default Group that is created by the system and cannot be removed or changed.   New approvers are automatically added to this group. Approvers can be assigned to one or more groups in eLAS by the eLAS Org Admin(s).
