Below are the steps for searching for employee information using one of four methods. Use the Clear button to remove any prior search criteria before getting started.

Steps for searching by Full Name:
- Type the known Full Name values into the search field
- Use the % Wildcard for a partial value search (shown below)
- Press the TAB key to open the Employee Name LOV
- Choose the desired record and click OK
Steps for searching by Social Security Number (SSN):
- Type the 9-digit identifier, excluding "-", into the SSN search criteria (shown below)
- Press the TAB key to populate the person values
- If multiple assignments exist, choose the desired record from the Employee Name LOV and click OK
If the Employee Name LOV opens or you receive a message that the National Identifier already exists, a record for this employee is already in the system and a New Hire document cannot be created.
Steps for searching by Identification Number:
- Type the employee's 7-digit numerical identifier into the Identification Number search criteria
- Press the TAB key to populate the person values
- If multiple assignments exist, choose the desired record and click OK
Steps for searching by Effective Date:
You can view date-specific employment information for an employee following these steps.
- Use one of the methods described above to specify the employee and assignment to query
- Enter the desired snapshot date into the Effective Date field
Note: The starting history effective dates are 21-SEP-2003 for biweekly employees and 01-OCT-2003 for monthly employees.
